1. all + 복수명사 

    기본 상식인데 speaking할때는 의외로 신경쓰지 못하는 부분이 된다. 
    (하긴, speaking할 때 뭔들 신경 쓰냐-.,- 완전 survival English, Konglish 작렬)

2. all + uncountable noun

     ex) I like all music. (NOT every music)
           I've drunk all (of) the milk.

3. 어순

    all (of) + determiner + noun
     *determiner: article(a, an, the)
                         possessive(my, your...)
                         a demonstrative adjective(this, that...)
                         compound relative pronoun(whichever, whatever)
                         indefinite pronoun as an adjective function(some, any, no, enough, every, each...)

    사실, 이 어순 때문에 책을 all에 대해 찾아봤다. (reference; Practical English Usage)
    나는 왠지 'put your all eggs'의 어순으로 쓸 것만 같았는데, 
    'put all your eggs'로 되어 있어서, 이번 기회에 정확히 어순을 알아두기로 했다. 
     your가 possessive로 determiner에 속하니, All + determiner + noun의 순서에 따라
     'put all your eggs'가 되는군! 
      (그러나 왠지 speaking할때 내 멋대로 'your all....'로 말할까봐 불안하다)
     아! 생각해보니, all of me 라는 jazz number가 있군! 

    ex) Julie spent all (of) the summer at home.
          all (of) my life

4. every / all / whole 의 의미상의 차이

     왜 every egg 또는 your whole eggs라는 쓰지 않을까?? 라는 의문을 가져보자면, 
     의미 상에 다음과 같은 차이가 있다고 하는군.

     *every egg(참고로 every는 determiner와 함께 쓰지 않는다는 사실을 새삼! 깨닫고...)
     : every는 흔히 '예외 없이'라는 어감을 내포한다.

     *all: 단수 명사 앞에서 '완전한', '~의 모든 부분'을 의미
           복수 명사 앞에서 '모두'(every와 비슷)

     *whole: 단수 명사 앞에서 '완전한, '~의 모든 부분'
                복수 명사 앞에서 '완전한', '전부의' 의미.

      뭔 소리냐. -.,-?
      다음의 예를 보면 좀 이해가 된다. 

      ex) all day: 하루 종일
            every day: 매일
            All Indian tribes suffered from white settlement in America
            (=Every indian tribe suffered....)
            Whole Indian tribes were killed off. (=Complete tribes were killed off)
             인디안 부족 중 살아남은 사람 없이 전부 살해 당했다는 의미.

[유용한 표현]

+ I'm counting up all my money.
  * count up: ~을 다 세어 내다, 합계하다.

+ Could I borrow a hundred ponds, please?
   borrow: 빌리다, 돈을 꾸다, 차용하다.
   lend: 빌려주다, 대출하다. 주다.
 나는 맨날 borrow하고 lend가 헷갈린다. @.,@

+ To invest in this new company my friend is setting up.
  invest는 in하고 친하구나. 이런건 언제나 어렵다.

+ That sounds to me like a mobile phone.

+ Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

+ It's an expression that means you should never rely on just on plan because it could go wrong. 

+ just in case: ~한 경우에 한해서(접속사적으로), 만약을 위해서

+ I should buy shares in a lot of different company.

+ Have you got the message?
